It appears extremely difficult to imagine given that Star Wars is such a major component of our culture and the Cmd368 of movies that before Star Wars hit the screens in May of 1977, it was considered to be a long shot to ever get left less turned into the huge success that it did. The vision has been exceptional and untried as well as studios, that meant risk. Too often bold and innovative filmmaking is not successful in a economic level. Studios want to go with things which will generate income for certain.
